Cleaner/Housekeeper - Newmarket Racecourse

Job Description:

Constellation is seeking dedicated and experienced Cleaners/Housekeepers to join our team during the bustling race day events season at Newmarket Racecourse. As a Cleaner/Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of 17 rooms, enhancing the overall experience for our guests.

Main Duties:

• Cleaning and maintaining cleanliness standards in 17 accommodation rooms throughout race-day events.

• Ensuring all areas are well-maintained and presentable for guests.

• Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Key Details:

• Total of 37 race-day events with additional setting up days before each event, totaling 54 days between April and November. Visit the “racing” section on the Newmarket Racecourse website for a full schedule of events.

• Flexibility in work hours, the guest will vacate the rooms around 09:00 AM and all work needs to be carried before 4:00 PM. You can choose your own hours as long as all work is carried out in that time window.

• This is a temp role, paid per hour on a weekly basis.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in domestic or hotel cleaning is preferred.

• Ability to work efficiently and independently.

• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
