Role: Ad Hoc Admin Assistant – Hospitality & Events

Location: Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, GU14 6FD

Pay: £14.79 per hour, paid weekly

We’re currently looking for organised, proactive, and confident individuals to join our admin team on an ad hoc basis, providing essential behind-the-scenes support to ensure smooth event delivery.


What You’ll Do

As an Ad Hoc Admin Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of the operations team, handling a variety of admin tasks including:

📊 Inputting data into Excel spreadsheets and creating new spreadsheets as required

📋 Completing menus and event documentation with accuracy and attention to detail

🗂️ Providing general admin support to the events and operations teams

📅 Assisting with scheduling, planning, and coordination tasks

📝 Printing and preparing materials for client meetings and event delivery

🥗 Assisting with allergen information packs for catering and client use

💳 Taking payments from clients and updating records accurately

📞 Speaking with clients over the phone to process payments and provide support

This is a varied and dynamic role where strong admin and communication skills are key.


What We’re Looking For

✨ Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel (must be able to create and format spreadsheets)

✨ Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

✨ Professional and clear communication, both written and verbal

✨ Comfortable speaking with clients and handling payment information

✨ Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-focused environment

✨ Flexible availability – ad hoc shifts based on event schedules

✨ Previous admin or customer-facing experience is desirable, but not essential

✔ Must have reliable transport to and from the venue (Please note: it’s a 30-minute walk from local train stations)
