Job Title: Ward Host / Customer Service Assistant (CSA)

Location: Hospital Setting NG17

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

Shifts: 14:30 – 18:30 (could alter).

Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7 (including mornings, late afternoons and weekends)

DBS Requirement: Basic or Enhanced DBS required

Training: Full induction provided on your first day

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Ward Host / Customer Service Assistant to join our hospital team. This is a patient-facing role where you will play a key part in supporting patients by delivering meals and providing excellent customer service within a ward environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serving meals and beverages to patients in a timely and professional manner
• Assisting patients with menu choices where required
• Ensuring food hygiene and safety standards are maintained at all times
• Collecting meal trays and maintaining cleanliness within the ward area
• Providing friendly and compassionate customer service to patients and staff
• Following hospital policies and health & safety procedures

Skills & Experience Required

Essential Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
• Previous experience in a hospital, care, catering or customer service environment
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen awareness
