We have an exciting opportunity to join the Constellation team as a Regional People Consultant based at The Kia Oval – the home of Surrey County Cricket Club 🏏
This is a dynamic role at one of London’s most iconic venues, supporting the delivery of world-class hospitality and major events. You will play a key role in ensuring the venue is staffed with high-quality hospitality professionals across Front of House, Hospitality Management, and Conference & Events (C&E) operations.

The Role
As a Regional People Consultant, you will support the operational and people needs of the Hospitality team across the venue throughout the year. You will work closely with operations teams to recruit, schedule, and manage a large and varied hospitality workforce, ensuring every event is delivered with the right people in the right roles.
You will be responsible for workforce planning, recruitment support, staff engagement, and live event staffing management, helping to deliver exceptional service for every event held at The Kia Oval.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate staffing across hospitality departments to ensure all events are fully resourced.
- Work with venue and operations teams to forecast staffing needs and manage bookings through the Ubeya system.
- Support recruitment and onboarding, including CV screening, interviews, and assessments.
- Match staff to roles based on skills, experience, and event requirements.
- Build and maintain a strong, reliable variable workforce.
- Promote a positive team culture, supporting staff engagement, attendance, and wellbeing.
- Provide on-site support during events, managing check-ins, staffing changes, and operational challenges.
- Maintain accurate staffing records and support post-event reporting.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, right-to-work checks, and health & safety regulations.
- Manage international event day accommodation provision for casual managers & chefs.
- Support with match day accreditation, wristbands and venue access procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of hospitality staffing and a passion for delivering excellent events and guest experiences.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of hospitality and catering roles.
- Experience working in major events, hospitality venues, or event-based catering environments.
- Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Experience using rota or workforce scheduling systems (Ubeya, Fourth, Harri or similar).
- Proven experience managing external agency relationships and developing strong, collaborative partnerships.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach to problem solving.
- Comfortable using workforce systems, spreadsheets, and internal platforms.
Working Pattern
- Full Time – 40 hours per week
- 5 out of 7 days, including some weekends, evenings and bank holidays
- Minimum 4 days per week on-site (this will increase to 5x days per week during the summer cricket season, to include weekends and evenings)
- Must live within a commutable distance to The Kia Oval, London SE11 5SS
- During the summer cricket season, you will support all on-site matches and events alongside the Oval Constellation team.
- Occasional support may be required at other Constellation venues with advance notice.
