Working HoursTimes will vary depending on requirements, but hours are generally Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm.Occasional weekends and evening shifts may be required.30 minute unpaid break- meal provided.Free onsite parking.This is a temporary full time position within our team and can lead to a permanent role for the right candidate. <h3>Overview</h3>The Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in line with menu specifications, food safety standards, and customer expectations. This role supports the smooth operation of the kitchen, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and excellence in food preparation and service. <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the required standards.</li><li>Assist in menu planning, food preparation, and portion control.</li><li>Maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations (HACCP).</li><li>Ensure all food is stored, handled, and prepared safely and correctly.</li><li>Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and assist with stock rotation.</li><li>Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.</li><li>Assist with receiving and checking deliveries.</li><li>Follow all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.</li><li>Support junior kitchen staff where required and help promote a positive team culture.</li><li>Adapt to special dietary needs or menu changes as instructed.</li></ul><h3> </h3><h3>Skills and Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Previous kitchen or chef experience (professional or large-scale catering preferred).</li><li>Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Good communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality food production.</li><li>Food hygiene certificate (Level 2 or above) is desirable.</li></ul><h3> </h3><h3>Personal Attributes</h3><ul><li>Reliable, punctual, and organised.</li><li>Passionate about food and culinary excellence.</li><li>Flexible and adaptable to business needs.</li><li>Strong work ethic and positive attitude.</li></ul> Why should you work with us?- Great opportunity to be part of great team and work in a fast-paced environment- Competitive pay, paid weekly- Gain some great transferable skills and work experience- Receive full training in Health &amp; Safety, Hygiene, Manual Handling that are recognized industry-wide.- Access to Health &amp; Wellbeing Support Programs, including our Employee Assistance Program.
